Update on Steven Zarit

Kelsey's father, Steven Zarit's heart surgery went very well in Montana this past week... he is surprisingly not in a ton of pain, however, they have him on heavy doses of medications to keep the pain level to a minimum. So, it's truly been God keeping watching over him on top of all of your prayers! Keep em coming! :) We're expecting him to be released from the hospital over the next several days as we will continue to keep you all updated.

Again, thank you for your awesome prayers...they are getting us all through this ordeal!

This is a prayer request for Kelsey's father, Steven Zarit, we're asking for you to hold Steve up in prayer right now, and spread the word for more prayer as it's been extremely tough on our family having gone through a stage 3 bladder cancer scare also with Steven as of last year, however, after having surgery to remove his bladder entirely and Dr's having to form a new one all around, the Lord had His angels surrounding Steven and he has been cancer free since that time praise God! Now we face another health challenge...A few weeks back in December, Steve had gone to the hospital having extreme chest and arm pains; it turns out after having multiple tests ran...he had already experienced about two mild heart attacks. The Dr. recommended that Steven now have quadruple bypass surgery to hopefully correct this problem long term. Steve's father passed away in his mid 60's also from a heart attack, so... it is most definitely necessary he have this surgery to ensure a longer and healthy life. Please be praying BIG TIME, as Steven's surgery is scheduled to take place in Missoula, Montana... where Steve and Romy (Kelsey's mother) currently are living; on Thursday- 01.26.2012 at 6:30AM.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and encouragement, as we do feel them all as a family. This is just another thing we're having to face together...but we know our Heavenly Father is in complete control. Please also be praying for Romy, for strength and encouragement to assist Steven during this time as it's going to a very long road of recovery from this surgery! Even though this is a very common surgery, it is also a very high risk surgery...in fact, it's one of the top high risks surgeries even out there...so please, please send your prayers to our family...we greatly appreciate them all!

We pulled out our baby seat and look, our little shrimp is sitting up...just like a big boy!!! Shi still can't quite hold his tiny neck up entirely on his own, however, he's getting there! We cannot believe how much he's grown already! We love our little man so much!

Recently, Kelsey's sister Brittany and our brother in law Serban Maracine flew out from Colorado to visit family and friends in Cali in mid January... they also brought with them our beautiful niece who is 2 weeks behind Shiloh in age Ms. Madeline Grace Maracine; she is absolutely stunning...just like a little doll. It was so neat having the cousins finally meet and being able to share in some awesome memories together now as new and growing families! We drove to San Marcos, CA so that the babies could meet their great grandpa "Poppy" (Kelsey's mother's father), and what a surreal and amazing moment that was ! We so wish our Nana was also here to share in on this time, but we know she was smiling down from Heaven. The babies also got to meet Kelsey and Britt's Aunt Krissy (Kel's mother's sister) and their Uncle John... as well as 2nd & 3rd cousins Deanna/Alex and Taylor Gilmore. All in all, it was a brief trip...but the hours and time spent together will forever be cherished.

It has truly been an amazing holiday season with our handsome Shiloh here with us, we couldn't be more blessed by his presence. Can't believe... our little man is already 4 weeks old and will officially be "one month" old on December 7th, 2011! We went over to Pappi and Gram's home to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, and/ or Colby's parents Paul and Liz Rozell. It was such a nice and relaxing day filled with the Rozell family and Jessi and Jean Morris... and musn't forget the yummy food! Shiloh did such a great job being out for 6 hours too...he was a bit fussy from time to time, but all in all.. was such a good boy being passed from person to person. We were quite the proud duo as parents. :) Also, just wanted to take a moment and say what we are so thankful for this year and for all of the many blessings from God... our beautiful and perfect son... but of course, our loving family, our wonderful and true friends who continue to stand by our side as a couple, support us and our new family, a beautiful home, adorable furry friends, food in our bellies, but really, the most important blessing is that we know and love the Lord and that is truly the absolute best thing to be thankful for, as He is the one who continues to watch over us, guide us, bless us and we couldn't be more grateful to Him and Him alone. Happy Two Weeks to our little man... we cannot believe it's been two weeks already since you were born! Time if passing by way too quickly! What a blessing you have been to mommy and daddy! You love to "fake cry" as mommy would say, just to get our attention, then as soon as we start talking to you... you get this huge smile across your entire face just like your daddy only with bigger and adorable sunkin in dimples on each cheek than dad! You think you are connected to mommy at the hip (mainly because mom has become the "milk factory" lol) and you do tend to keep us up every night whether it be to just give you lovin and kisses and giggles/feed you or to change poopy diapers... it's now driven your daddy to drinking coffee in the mornings which he hates! LOL ...but even though we are lacking in sleep/showers/ and brain cells lol... we wouldn't have it any other way. You are amazing and beautiful, and worth every bit of this kind of work! It's so hard to imagine our lives without you. <3 We thank God every day for gifting us with you precious angel and we cherish every moment spent with you! All of our love- Daddy and Mommy

Shiloh's Birth Story-11.07.11

Ok, as promised...here is our little guy's birth story...

It started on Sunday evening, 11.06.11, around 9:30pm, it was a typical Sunday evening in the Rozell household; pups were snuggled up on the couch with mom watching TV, cats were sleeping, Colby was on his computer doing his school homework and Kelsey had started to feel a bit more crampy than usual in her lower back ... the cramping seemed to progress to what started to feel like what 'contractions" would feel like or so we thought around 10:30pm that evening. We started timing these intense pains and eventually realized that they were lasting around 3-4 mins apart and were around 1 minute each time one happened. We were both a bit surprised to learn that these pains were targeting Kelsey's lower back and not her front abdominal region as what we had been told by many people/books etc. Around 11:30pm, the pains had continued and grown more intense... we called the hospital and realized we should go ahead and start prepping to go in, as Shiloh was beginning to start the process earlier than planned (which btw we were thrilled for the contractions coming on naturally as opposed to being induced). We eventually arrived at the hospital around 12:30am and checked in...Nurses looked so surprised when we told them we were in labor (Kelsey handles pain very quietly...and we were certain by the looks on their faces, they thought this was "just another false labor")... sure enough, when our nurse hooked Kelsey up to the monitor...she was having very strong contractions at roughly 3-4 mins apart, however, the hold up soon became that even though strong contractions were occurring...Kelsey was not dilating properly. Eventually the pains got so intense due to back labor as opposed to the normal front labor and Colby's hand was about to fall off lol... (Still with no dilation happening) that Kelsey was pleading with the nurse to give her the Epidural...problem was that they don't typically give the epidural until around 3-4 cms dilated, Kelsey was only 1 1/2 cm dilated and was not progressing in the time span of 8 hours. The Dr on call finally came in to check on us and went ahead (Praise the Lord) and gave Kelsey an epidural to subside the contractions as well as hopefully lower Kelsey's blood pressure which at one point got up to 180 over 100! ... after hearing that tid bit, it began to get a bit scary! The Dr had also prescribed pitocin to speed up the contractions and labor due to the blood pressure scare. Once the epidural and pitocin were in , the dilating literally started happening quite quickly as we and the medical staff were all quite surprised! Kelsey was finally at 7cm dilated when the Dr came in to break the water in attempt to continue to speed up the process and get the baby out safely, however, yet another scare occurred...Shiloh's heart rate started dropping dramatically once that was done and at one point we had 5 nurses rush in to the room to watch the rate for about what felt like LONGest 5 minutes to see if it would pick back up which eventually it did...however, it kept dropping and they stated that if it continued to drop that they would need to schedule an emergency C Section. Roughly about an hour and a half later, Kelsey was checked again while being monitored very closely and Shiloh's heart rate still pausing every now and then on the screen- she was now dilated to 10! Nurses prepped the room and had Kelsey begin to push to try and get Shiloh to crown prior to calling the Dr in to finish the delivery. It took Kelsey around 3 pushes of 3 breathing sets to get our little guy to crown at which point the Dr had arrived and looked so surprised that it didn't take very long to push to the crowning. At one point, we had asked the nurses "how long does it take to push and get the baby out" which they stated "it can take anywhere from 30 mins to upwards of 3 to 5 hours sometimes depending on how good of a pusher you are" ... hearing that scared the living daylights out of Kelsey and when that Dr came in... Kelsey had decided it would take her about 20 mins to push and get Shiloh out! lol Which is what pretty much happened! :) Colby stood by and coached Kelsey by counting as she kept pushing... he did a fabulous job as the coach! We learned while pushing, Shiloh's chord had been wrapped tightly and twice around his neck which is why his heartrate kept dropping so signifigantly throughout the labor process, so Dr had the duty of cutting the chord and not daddy due to these reasons. God really had his angels around our little guy! We couldn't believe hearing that little cry for the first time and then holding him for the first time and memorizing every bit of his face/body... it was "that moment" that everyone talks about...he was here and in our arms...a living/breathing human being that was just in Kelsey's belly! A true miracle! In a heartbeat, we became a mommy and daddy! Shiloh Benjamin Rozell was born on November 7th, 2011 at 4:32pm weighing in at 7lbs, 1 oz- 20 inches in length. We were immediately taken by his precious little self and were so in love right off the bat. The love we feel for Shiloh as his mom and dad is a love like no other! We are so beyond blessed that God gave us such a handsome and perfect little being to tend and care for... we couldn't be more happier at this time in our lives! Babies are such blessings and SO amazing! Thank you to all of our friends and family that have been so supportive during the entire pregnancy/post pregnancy... we are so thankful to have you all in our lives! Also, thank you to the Dr and Medical Staff who ensured a safe delivery for our precious little miracle! It was a rough labor all in all and very exhausting, but the end result was the most amazing and beautiful gift sent from up above! <3 Thank you Lord!

For those of you who do not have a Facebook- our little guy is now 3 days old and was born on November 7th, 2011 (birth story to follow shortly) at 4:32pm in the afternoon after Kelsey having been in labor for over 17 hours ....he weighed in at 7 lbs, 1oz... we went to his check up with the pediatrician today and weighed in at 6lbs, 11 oz (very normal to loose 10% of body weight after birth). We wanted to share our amazing blessing with you all...more pictures and video to come shortly!

The Time Has Arrived...

Recently, on Friday 11.04.11, we went in to see our Dr. for our 39 Week Apointment, and it turns out...our little guy is quite content just relaxing away in mama's belly, as Kelsey remains to be only between 1 to 2 cms dilated at this point and he has still not dropped whatsoever but is in fact facing in the right position to come on out which is a blessing. His heartbeat is reading normal and healthy and he is moving and wiggling quite often (well, as much as what he can given he is now running out of room in his home for the past 9 months... poor guy, mom can only stretch so far) lol. The Dr. hooked Kelsey up to essentially what is a "stress test" for both mom and baby on Friday as well (where they hook monitor to belly and test the heart beat of baby and contractions on mom's end)... Shiloh checked out completely fine and Kelsey was even having what appeared to be strong contractions on the print out, but yet...did not feel a single one! Problems we are facing right now; the past 3-4 weeks, Kelsey's blood pressure has been reading very high among a few other health concerns on Kelsey's end (not the baby's at all, praise the Lord). Dr is still thinking it's potentially the early stages of preeclampsia but they are still not very certain, so at this point... should he not decide to come on his own this weekend, our Dr. scheduled a induction date on his planned due date for November 8th, 2011 beginning at 8:00am. It is very common for women to develop preeclampsia towards the end of the 3rd trimester, however, it is taken very seriously by medical staff and it can be a major health concern/risk while pregnant for both mom and baby, and then also after having given birth as well for the mom. With being induced, it can take upwards of 2-3 days to dilate/have strong enough contractions etc in order to get the baby out... (they won't let you go past the 3 day mark, otherwise, they schedule a C section). Obviously, we had hoped not to be induced and to have everything go according to "the plan" naturally...but as we all know (those who have given birth prior)...nothing ever goes according to plan or is anything like what the movies make it out to be unfortunately! At this point, health for baby and mama is our main concern and priority, so we are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the delivery of our little man is safe and well and Kelsey's blood pressure stablizes to where it needs to be. Kelsey is scheduled for another stress test on Monday, 11.07.11 to check in on baby and mom once more prior to the scheduled induction should he not arrive in the next two days on his own. We are asking for strong prayers and for a smooth delivery for our little man and for a smooth and safe recovery for Kelsey following the delivery. Thank you all! We cannot wait to meet Shiloh for the 1st time and officially become a Mom and Dad, as well as introduce our son to you all! Keep on checking back in, as we will post pictures of his arrival once he has made his debut.

Bronte' Adele Graebner- Prayer Request

Bronte' Adele Graebner- Born 11.01.11 at 4:59am, 29 Weeks Old- 2lbs, 12oz.

This is a prayer request for our dearest friends Nick and Emily Graebner who just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl (their 1st child) at just 29 weeks old weighing in at just over 2lbs. There were some complications with the pregnancy and ultimately lead to Bronte' being born November 1st, 2011 at San Diego Sharp's Mary Birch Hospital. This road has already been a long and difficult one for this precious now family of 3, and we're asking for Big Time prayers to go out to this little girl who is truly fighting so hard every step of the way. Mama (Emily) is doing well after having went through an emergency C Section early that morning, however, she is also recooperating from that massive surgery herself, while her little one is in the intensive care section in the NICU of the hospital, but is under excellent care as this hospital specializes in preemies/monitoring & development etc. Please be praying strong prayers for this precious couple and for God to give them strength and encouragement throughout this process, as Bronte' will need to be kept in the NICU for many weeks of close monitoring- most likely until later January 2012, (which 01.17.12), would have been her actual due date. They had to sedate little Bronte' and paralyze her with medication as she kept trying to pull out her little breathing/feeding tubes, however, prior to the sedation Emily stated that her daddy (Nick) was with her and she was moving around lots and when he would talk to her, she would turn towards her daddy to listen in on all that he had to say. Medically, she does have some air pockets surrounding her lungs and heart, although, the doctors say they appear to be getting better, but they are keeping her in the intensive care section due to these reasons. She also has an infection in her respiratory system from when in the womb and the water having broken so early on. She did have a brain scan and no bleeding/nor abnormalities were found, praise the Lord! Nick was even able to change her diaper and check her temperature for the 1st time, so that was a blessing...but made mommy a bit jealous but of course...:) ... all in all, this little 2 lb baby girl is in the fight for her life right now, is sick and needs all the prayers she can get to pull her through this rocky road. She is a little miracle and we know the Lord has huge plans for her life!

To our little niece Bronte'- We love you precious one, keep fighting and be strong beautiful girl!!!...Lord, we pray health and life over this beautiful and precious baby girl this very minute! Wrap her up in your mighty, mighty arms Father and let Your Holy Spirit flow through her body and bring healing to every part that brings concern to the doctors and medical staff... let her life be a walking and breathing testimony of Your love for us all. Let Bronte' go on to speak about You, and You alone saved her life and that miracles do happen, especially to those who believe in You God! Father, we pray that the doctors will be truly astounded at how well and how fast she is healing and growing into an even more beautiful and healthy little girl. Lord, allow Your plan to fall into place and let this little one accomplish all that You have in store for her life. Bring comfort, encouragement and even more strength to her parents Father. Give them a knowing and an understanding that You have everything under control and You are right there with her/in her Father allowing your angels to surround her during this time. We know as Christians that You permit for trials and tribulations to happen in our lives so that we may speak of You and Your Amazing and Unconditional Love to those who don't know You, and that is the only reason you created us and why we're even here to begin with. God, we pray that Bronte' will go on to do Your work for the Kingdom of God in her lifetime, and that she will teach us all in so many ways and share about You to so many people in need. Lord, we pray against the enemy and his attack on this family right now! We bind the work of him and his evil ways God... protect this precious little soul Father and let her surpass all medical doubts or concerns with any health complications. God- pull this family through this time..and let everyone- far and wide (knowing or not knowing this family) continue to pray strong prayers for this baby girl/her health and life and her parents. Lord, you are an AMAZING God and we lift up Bronte' Adele Graebner to You right now and dedicate her life to You and for the Glory of You! Heal her Lord of all the medical issues and sicknesses that she is battling in her tiny little frame! We put our complete trust in You and know that she and all babies are truly precious blessings sent to us from up above. Surround her with your Holy Spirit and the mightiest of angels! We love you our beautiful niece!

Well, we're officially in our final countdown!!!; around 33 more days left to go and we couldn't be more excited! Our little man has been rolling like crazy and is prepping for his debut in almost 4 weeks! The time seems to have just flown by... the nursery is ready to go, hospital bag is going to be packed this weekend, and daddy installed the car seat base in mom's car for his coming home. We are very ready to meet our little prince Shiloh Benjamin... and spoil him rotten with so much love. He has already been such a blessing to us and now we get to meet his precious little soul in just a few short weeks and give him so many kisses and cuddles. <3 We thank the Lord every day for our little miracle and truly know how blessed we are to receive this amazing gift from up above. Shiloh seems to know our voices too!!!... every time either of us talk to him, he likes to wiggle his teeny little bootie! hehe We had our 35 week check up this past Tuesday, and Shi's already facing down in the right position and is about ready to come on out when he's fully "cooked' - his heart rate is a steady 135 beats per minute- the Dr showed us his little body by doing these silly looking massages with Kelsey's belly...you could literally see his little head and bootie! She also said that he's around the 5lb mark right now based off of Kelsey's belly measurements and his little body. We finally ordered our little man's baby nursery bedding and we couldn't be more pleased! It's beautiful! The nursery seems to be coming together slowly but surely, but there is still OH SO MUCH left to do! :) 15 More weeks until he makes his grand entrance! We are beyond excited to meet this little man and are ready for our lives to drastically change forever, or so we keep hearing! It is a very surreal thought to think that it is no longer going to be the two of us & our clan of furry friends, but rather ... we will be responsible for a living, breathing, tiny and perfect in every way...Human Being! hehe So far, the pregnancy has been going very smoothly, as the baby belly continues to push it's way out farther and farther- leaving Kelsey extremely happy that our little guy is growing very healthy, but somewhat uncomfortable attempting to get used to this newfound belly... and body of hers! :) Most recently, he has started to begin kicking and moving up a storm! Talk about surreal moments... feeling his movements for the first time in one's life are quite the odd feeling, yet truly amazing all at once! We keep hearing that new mama's eventually get used to the feeling of the baby moving around inside the belly...so, we will see how that goes! We have also heard that as the baby gets bigger and grows stronger, there are more "lovely kicks" which Kelsey will get to experience down the road i.e. kick to the ribs/bladder etc. PEACHY...CAN'T WAIT! hehe This means A LOT more trips to the ladies room coming right up! Colby recently was able to feel him kicking about 1 week ago...and it hit him for the first time- "WE HAVE A BABY IN THERE!" hehe. Very precious! He spoke to our little man for about 20 mins right up against Kelsey's tummy and could hear swishing and swooshing in there too! We're assuming that was his response to daddy talking to him. <3 So many new and exciting feelings and memories that we are experiencing for the 1st time in our lives...yet we know the most exciting and life changing memory of them all is literally just around the corner! <3 The Newly Anticipated question: We have not yet announced his name...and YES, surprise surprise, he does in fact have a name :) hehe... we promise! We plan on announcing his forever life title to everyone VERY, very soon! So be sure to keep checking back for the BIG announcement! In the meantime, we thought we'd give you a bit of a sneek peak above of his nursery set-up thus far- please bare in mind, it is the bare bones of a nursery only... but will hopefully be coming together over time! :)

Our little man at 20 weeks and 1 day- best shot we could get of him!

It's true... we FINALLY found out on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011 @ 3:00p.m. that we are having a baby boy, and we truly couldn't be more thrilled! Our little guy didn't make it very easy to see his profile by any means... in fact he was twisted up into a little ball-then moved just barely and tucked his little feet and arms under his stomach, just like a little picture you would see hung up someplace. Quite the flexible little man he is! We are absolutely in love with our son! Our radiologists kept trying to get him to move; he would stretch then go right back to sleep as if nothing poked or shook him! :) Lucky for Kelsey, he tends to come alive at night time more so than during the day...so he wasn't giving us the best show by any means. lol But one thing is for sure, he is SO... CUTE and we can already tell he will be our little cuddle bug.

Awe Yes...The Most Frequently Asked Question Now Is:

"Do you have any names picked out?"...

The answer is yes, we do, and we are actually pretty set on one name in particular believe it or not... but we want to look around a bit more so before we announce our little man's name; after all, it is a very important factor of who he is going to be. :)

We are so beyond excited, and cannot wait to meet him come November 8th, 2011! Now, begins the coordination of his nursery! We love you our adorable little man! XO

We went in for our 19 week check up on Monday, June 13th- 2011. The baby is doing wonderful, and there is a strong,steady heartbeat of 144 beats per minute. When our Dr placed the doppler on Kelsey's belly, you could hear the heartbeat, but there were also what sounded like swishes or even static; the Dr told us the baby was moving like crazy! :) It put big smiles on both of our faces just thinking of our little one rolling away in there... our little water baby!

The Big Day is just around the corner...

We booked our appointment to find out the gender of the baby on Wednesday, June 22nd-2011, and we literally cannot wait! Regardless of boy or girl, we will be so happy no matter the case just as long as it is one healthy little bundle of joy with 10 fingers and 10 toes!

We would like to wish our dear friends Nick and Emily Graebner a big CONGRATULATIONS, as they just announced they are expecting thier first little one come January 17th, 2012! Emily is now 8 weeks along in her pregnancy. We couldn't be more thrilled for you both, and we know that you guys will make exceptional parents to your little blessing! We also look forward to the day our little ones meet for the first time/experiencing new baby adventures, and we know we have a ton of memories which will last forever and are literally right around the corner from now! This is such a wonderful journey we are going through as soon to be dads and moms, and we are truly so blessed to be going through this with you both! We are so thrilled to announce the arrival of our 1st little one~

November 8th, 2011!

We found out at about 5 weeks that we were going to be a mommy and daddy and we couldn't be more excited, amazed, nervous and scared all at the same time! You know, the normal feelings 1st time parents tend to go through. hehe This is truly such a miracle from our great God, and we anticipate the day when we get to meet our little one come November 2011. Until then, he or she is safely rolling around like crazy and seems to be a very mellow baby from what we've seen at the moment.

So far, it has been an extremely easy pregnancy...knock on wood of course. We have had the blessing of seeing our little one twice now for ultra sounds about 2 weeks apart from one another. One at 10 weeks and the other at 12 weeks... the baby is just precious and is growing like a little weed in mama's belly. The doctor says it appears to be a healthy little one so far, so to hear this news is always music to our ears. hehe We are most definitely planning on finding out the sex of the baby- as that time should come around the 18 to 20 week mark, just a few more weeks away really! We do have a few names picked out, but none which we are completely set on at this point. Make sure to keep checking back in to see what we decide on in the VERY near future! :)

To our little Angel...
Our baby, even though we have only seen a mere glimpse of you and what your little personality is going to be like... we already love you SO very much and cannot wait to hold you and give you so many kisses and cuddles! We will cherish every moment of your life...from your arrival, to your 1st poopy diaper hehe, your 1st giggle, your 1st step, your 1st tooth and oh so many more memories to come. You have already brought so much love and joy into our lives as your mommy and daddy just knowing that you're safe and sound in mama's belly rolling ever so gently. On Saturday, March 27th, 2010...we lost a truly amazing woman/wife/mother and nana to stage 4 abdominal cancer. Our small and fragile 82 year old little english nana went home to be with the Lord at 11:00am this day.

Thank you to all who have been there for our family, as we ask for your continued prayers and support during this time, especially for our poppy , as they were coming up on their 65th year wedding anniversary! A true love story, one that will forever be remembered! This is very difficult for everyone...but we know she is with our Heavenly Father and not feeling anymore pain.

Nana, we love you so much...and you will always be in our many stories of growing up, which we will share with our children and their children!

May you rest in peace knowing truly how loved you were!

This past weekend, we headed to OC's Long Beach to celebrate with some friends of ours, as they were getting married on the most perfect SoCal day, right next to the ocean...and what a beautiful ceremony it was! They incorporated so many jewish traditions, the Hebrew prayer/stomping of the glass/blessings etc. Loved it! Best of all, Pete and Jessica have the most adorable little son, Michah! He is by far, one of the most precious babies, and was a big highlight throughout the evening! Thank you for inviting us to join in on your special day you three! You both have so much love and adoration for one another, not only as lovers ;), but as best friends! It is so noticable, and so encouraging even now being married! We love you both and wish you the very best in your marriage together!

So...with time, obviously comes news! :)...

and...Updates begin now...

First and Foremost, we both know how truly blessed we are to have such great positions with two great companies amidst the current economy and all the difficult times many seem to be facing, including friends/family of our own. Our prayers are with each of you which may be facing such times right now. Know that the Lord is in control, and He will never give you more than what you can bear.

...When not working on upgrading our home down to the finest detail on his off time, Colby has enrolled and has also begun taking some courses again at Bakersfield College, as he plans on continually working towards his engineering degree while still holding down a full time position working for a very well known Commercial Audio Visual company, located here in the Bakersfield area.

...Recently, as of this new year, Kelsey was promoted within her current company (Property Management Residential/Commercial) to Operations Manager/Executive Administrative Assistant to the President of the company! It has been such a blessing and a real learning experience, as she is loving every minute of the fast paced industry. Kelsey still plans on eventually (when funds provide) getting her cosmetology license, and further pursueing the artistic side of her skills sometime soon. :) She has also recently realized that one thing was missing from her life and is planning on beginning with ballet again. :)

This new year has also brought with it some heart ache and difficult emotional times for Kelsey's side of the family, but alongside the tough moments has also brought many joyous and thrilling blessings!

Kelsey's mom, Romy Zarit was recently diagnosed with Colon Cancer back in late January/early February of this year (...and potentially more cancerous bumps which were also found throughout her entire body during the scan process), come to find out recently when she and Kelsey's father, Steven Zarit drove to Salt Lake City, Utah from their residence in Montana to have further testing done on Romy at some of the best facilities. The doctors were truly stunned, as every test came out cancer free/ and some of the masses/bumps were no longer there!!! This was truly a miracle! Thank you to all of you who constantly kept the prayers coming, that's what got us all through this! We love you and can't thank you enough for keeping our family/Kelsey's mom in your thoughts.

As we were celebrating the wonderful news of Romy being cancer free, we received word that Romy's mom (Peggy Seyster, 82 years of age), recently found out she has stage 4 abdominal cancer. We are asking for everyone to please send her big time prayers at this time! Romy/our family is having a very hard time trying to get through this, as we all love her dearly and are very close as a family. Peggy (or Nana, as she is called by our family) has played such an instrumental role with both Kelsey and her sister Brittany as they grew up. Romy will be flying out to California in about 1 week or so, to stay in Orange County, California to help assist Peggy's husband and/ or Romy's father, Sey, with taking care of her during this time. If there's one thing we all learned, it's that God can do miracles..but seeing her in pain/not wanting to eat/sleep is still VERY hard for everyone. :( Please keep those prayers coming!

This new year has truly been a reminder to us as couple, that life is a real gift from above, and goodness... it flies by so quickly, as we are both now going on 26 years of age; Kelsey in October and Colby in December. We have had many moments where we, as husband and wife, have reflected on everything that has changed for the better/worse in our lives over the past few years as individuals and as a couple, but all in all, we can't say enough how truly grateful we are to have such a tight knit group of loving people/friends/family/each other surrounding and continually encouraging us. Our marriage/relationship is the strongest it has ever been, as we have now been married for almost a year and a half , and have been "together" :) for almost 5 years!

Every day seems to be a new adventure filled with so many new experiences/emotions/growth. It's been wonderful. Even though it's been requested/wondered by "some", and we know that one day they will most definitely make their way into the world...the babies will come in about 3/4 more years for us, as we are constantly seeking after God to provide us with direction/timing etc.

Our master bedroom set finally arrived from Ashley Furniture...and we couldn't be more thrilled to not only sleep on the coziest california king ever, but own such a stunning dream set! We stenciled the wall with a damask matalic gold paint and it came out beautiful, next on our list is our master bathroom! Saw the stenciling idea on HDTV :)...so now we're planning on doing the same with our guest bedroom/bathroom with a different damask stencil in a metalic pewter/grey. So much fun to decorate! Take a look at the rooms, they are coming together slowly but surely and it is so exciting!!! We bought some pretty blue/brown pillows for our Guest bedroom set at Burlington Coat Factory, and that is quickly becoming a new favorite store to find great deals!

Finally. A New Post!

Well goodness, there has been so much that has taken place over the last couple months. For those of you who don't know, we finally moved into our new home and it is beautiful. Of course it is not entirely "done" , but it is coming together over time. It's a constant project, but we're loving being homeowners! We have put up some pictures for those of you who haven't seen it on our Facebooks, so make sure to have a look at the inside so far! We have been sleeping in the guest bedroom until our master bedroom set arrives from Ashley Furniture, which hopefully we will be getting that within the next week or so! Can't wait to sleep on our giant California King and pillow top mattress! It's the little things that count right?! ;)

Lets see...being that we have not had a chance to get around and update our blog, here are a few updates as of the last couple months;

1.As many know, we already had two kitties, or Noah and Napua, then 4 months ago picked up our newest addition (pup), or Remington. Most recently, we felt Remi really needed a bud while we were away at work, so we made the decision to get the final hehe, and most newest addition to our family... little Lucy Buttons. She has been a wonderful little gift, and Remi just adores his buddy more than ever.

2.Kelsey turned 25 on October 9th, as we decided to drive to Orange County and visit friends and family. Turned out to be a great visit, full of lots of new memories!

3.BIG NEWS!!! We had our 1 year Anniversary just yesterday! It was so neat to look back and remember our big day.Gosh, how time flies by so quickly! It was lovely! We went to what is our favorite restaurant, good ol Yummy Outback Steakhouse! After our bellies were completely full, we pulled out our wedding cake top that had been frozen in the freezer for a year, although, we never got around to tasting it until the next morning, when we decided to have wedding cake/diet coke for breakfast. :) Good healthy choice right! ;) All in all, wonderful and memorable 1 year.

4.Halloween is coming up, and we have our very first set of House Guests that weekend, which we are thrilled about, the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Daniels Stewart! (Danny and Erika), so we're looking forward to that!

5.Jobs are going wonderfully at this time, we feel so blessed to have landed great positions (especially in this economy) and to work alongside good people always helps too. :) Colby is planning on enrolling for school this next semester,as he would love to potentially get his engineering degree, however, should he go with plan b, it will end up being a business degree. :)

So be on the lookout for any new and upcoming events in our lives, and we promise to keep you all posted more often. Now that we have our home, things have started to settle down a bit more so.

A New Home

As some of you may know...we have been in the market for A New Home/Our First Home...ever... for some time now! Over the last few months we have been looking, but we finally and recently decided that we were very much ready to get a move on with this process!

The last few weeks we had started looking for homes big time/ alongside watching quite the variety of Home Buying shows ;)-HDTV is our new friend!... Alas! We got to narrowing our search down for areas to live in (Bakersfield)...

Rylan Rozell (Colby's Brother) has been our agent, and a wonderful one at that to work with! Needless to say, upon looking at various homes/drives bys/searching via internet etc. Rylan set us up with a walk through (looked inside 6 homes right after work, boy that was tiring) just last Wednesday, our hopes started to fade just a bit, then finally...the very last one, everything was perfect in every way! A total God thing! We could actually see ourselves in this adorable 3 bedroom/2 full bath home which had only been put on the market a mere 10 days prior! So... we did it... we decided to place an offer on this perfect future home... and two days later, our offer was accepted!!!! We literally couldn't believe it!!!

So now, we have our two beautiful kitties, Noah and Napua/ + our brand new little hairy guy of 3 months (aka:baby shih tzu- Remington), and we're all very much ready to move into our first home as one big happy family!

Of course this process can take a while as some may know from experience, and of course it has to close escrow, but we wanted to keep everyone updated on this process, as it is such an exciting new step for us as newlyweds of nine months...goodness how time flies by so quickly!

We would like to share with you all the pictures of the new home! ...not quite ours, but we're sure working on it. ;)

This past weekend was much fun, being that it was 4th of July weekend, and a long one at that, always so nice! Very much needed for the both of us! :) All day Friday, we went looking for homes, and we finally started narrowing down our search of perferred areas to live in...yay! We found about 4 homes that seemed to capture our interest, out of the 20 total Colby had looked up the night before on M.L.S... so we're hoping to get some walk throughs lined up asap through Colb's brother Rylan. Needless to say, anyone who has been through the home buying process would know that it's a lot of work, and very exhausting at that! Yet, we're very much excited to get a move on with this next chapter of our lives, and really get settled in as a newly formed family!

Saturday, was wonderful! Woke up around 10am, and got ready to go over to our dear friend's home- Randy and Kandace Poteete for a little fun in the sun. We even took little Remington who is now 3 months old!!!...kitties had to stay home of course, poor things,yet cats and fireworks don't really seem to flow together. ;) Remi had a complete blast, as Randy and Kandace also have two little Bijon Frise doggies- Chandler and Woodstock. Remi, and their new little Woodstock, or Woody as we all call him, immediately became inseparable as best buds; while wrestling around all day long, while Chandler naturally took on the role as supervisor as the older and more mature dog of course, ultimately wearing each other out to the max...wonderful for us! Meantime, we were all playing around in the sunshine at the pool! What a blast it was! We then went over to Kandace's grandparents for a neighborhood block party barbecue, and got to watch some fun fireworks on the street which Randy and Colby set off. Remington slept through the entire show!!! Couldn't believe it!

Bringing Home Remi

So, it's been about a week and a half since we've had little Remington or Remi as we like to call him...and we're very much in love with our crazy little man whom seems to be showing his playful personality with each day! He has adjusted so beautifully with our small and newly formed family! He absolutely loves hoarding all of his toys, alongside the kitty's toys (They don't mind whatsoever either!) and stuffs each and every one into his adorable blue bed (which one of his grandma's sent him) then plants his bootie on them and falls right asleep. Noah and Napua have already taken to him, in fact, Noah has almost taken on a daddy role. In fact, it was really apparent the other day when we found Noah and Remi canoodaling the and Noah was letting Remi nibble and lick his ears, while laying on him. It's almost as if they both know he's a baby. We're so blessed to have gotten such a little joy and to have him fit perfectly with us is so awesome! Even now, we can't seem to picture our family before we had him and his loving little self! We feel very complete!

So, it is indeed the truth... we have decided to add on a little new addition to our small family, and we couldn't be more excited, as we've been thinking about this for some time now! He will arrive as of June 13th, 2009! Colby thought we would name him after the brand of guns: Remington, and Cowboy happened to be his Shih Tzu dad's first name, where oddly enough...Cowboy was also Colby's nickname growing up...so it did seem quite fitting!

Wine Tasting in Paso Robles/San Luis

What a fun past weekend this was! We went to Paso Robles for a friend's 25th Birthday, Kandace Poteete...and went wine tasting at 3 different tasty vineyards. We also joined a Wine Club... called Jan Kris Winery! After the wine tasting, we then checked into our beautiful little hotel located in San Luis Obisbo, and caught a taxi cab ride to downtown where we had a perfect Italian style dinner to celebrate the birthday girl, then went out and danced our booties off that night! The next morning, we all ate at this cute little restaurant called the Apple Farm Inn! So adorable!

Wednesday- May 20th, 2009

About two months ago, we booked tickets to go see No Doubt/Paramore and the Sounds in concert at the big Rabobank Amphitheater here in Bakersfield, as we absolutely love No Doubt and Paramore individually, where combined... AMAZING and PRICELESS! Well, the concert had finally arrived, and we couldn't believe it was already that time! Life seems to have been flying right by lately! Anyhow, we both got off of work, and went to this cute little popular grill just around the corner called Tailgaters for some pear cider and newcastle to start the evening off...we then headed to the very crowded amphitheater where we started to dodge people left and right to get to our seats and finally settle in to our much awaited concert. It was literally one good band after the next, and No Doubt was by far SO AMAZING! Gwen Stefani came just a few feet away from us and started singing one of their most popular, yet older, but always good songs "I'm Just a Girl". What a surreal moment that was! All in all, it was one of the best concerts that we have ever gone to, well...other than Michael Buble' that is. :)It was then off to Taco Bell for some late night dinner tacos, then straight to bed for yet another work day on Thursday...thanks for the night of mental escape No Doubt, much appreciated!

Dodgers vs Giants Game- May 2009

This past weekend we decided to go on a venture to LA to go watch the Dodgers play against the Giants with some good friends of ours, Randice and Kandy...we mean, Randy and Kandace. :) It was a complete fun filled evening, filled with lots of YUMMY SNACKS, and tasty beer while rooting for the Boys in Blue and doing the wave with all of the people in the stadium with of course singing only the best song, which we all know that one right?... a little something like, "Take me out to the ball game...take me out to the crowd... buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks...I don't care if I ever get back..." Yup, that's the one! There's nothing better than sitting back, munching on some tasty nachos and the oh so famous Dodger Dogs while laughing and having fun with good friends! We finished the evening off by heading to the field to watch the beautiful fireworks!

We met up half way with some friends of ours from Orange County- Danny and Erika, over at Six Flags Magic Mountain to celebrate Danny's big 30! Six Flags was an absolute blast... as we started the morning off over at IHOP for some yummy breakfast, which, don't know how smart that was to begin our roller coaster venture off with IHOP...but it worked, and seemed to settle fine. :P Anyhow, the very first ride we hit up was X2, and wow... that rollercoaster is by far the scariest one in all of the theme park! A lot of fun, but absolutely nuts! So here are some pics from our Roller Coaster fun filled day!

Previous Weekend Fun

About a week and a half ago, Colby's work place gave him two free tickets to go to Condors Hockey Game (Bakersfield Team) game, so we went to a cute little bar/restaurant called Tailgaters beforehand, and then over to the Condors game for some action on the ice...it was a pretty fun night! Check out the pictures below. :)

That same weekend, we had driven down to Orange County to visit some friends of ours, and also attend Kelsey's cousin's baby shower, Ben and Arriana Brough, in celebration of their new little bun in the oven...another little girly! Congrats you two! The almost newly big sister of the bun in the oven... is Lola Wren, who was our flower girl in our October wedding. She is just such a doll, and we adore their family so much! Can't wait to meet your new little girl very soon!!!

Blithe River Trip, April 4th/5th- 2009

This past weekend, we met up with some good friends of ours in Orange County late Friday evening, and had some fun times filled with lots of laughter, and "chat rooms" around the large giant sized pub table and some yummy pizza and lava flows... the next morning, we all woke up groggy and sleepy at a whopping 4:15 a.m. in the morning so that we could get on road and pile five people on in the truck which was towing the infamous "Tige", or otherwords known as Matt's boat.

We then started on with our long 41/2 hour drive to Blithe/Aha Quinn Resort (or, mobile home park with a great boating river to play in...right Erika?) which is on the Arizona and California borders (Colorado River) to have some fun in the sun!

After the fun drive filled with lots of goofyness, and really just enjoying the company of good friends, alongside everything entertaining and joyous that comes with long road trips, such as snacking on some yummy munchies/playing with our new Blackberry Storm phones, and starting some crazy funny chat rooms/sleeping/talking and more sleeping... before we finally arrived to our destination ready and raring to get on the boat and watch some action filled wakeboarding action put on by the boys! Matt's cousin and friend met up in Blithe, making a fun group of five, even better at seven!

Everything turned out to be a complete blast, except for the fact that it turned out to be a bit chilly and windy...hehe well, that's an understatement really! The water was around the 50's / 60's! So it was pretty silly being out there in the midst of this cold weather! Although, the sun was out and it was absolutely gorgeous to have the hills/mountains surrounding us! Made for some pretty cool pictures as well! The first boating trip of the season/year turned out to be a lot of fun with friends, regardless of what was working against us to begin with, we just laughed about it over some yummy "Breakfast Dinner" at Denny's after hitting up the hot tub for some warmth on our amazing sunburns from over the course of the morning/afternoon. ;) Smart people we are!

The next morning, we all woke up yet again around 7:45 a.m. and Matt had to spill the bad news that the boat's trailer had a flat tire, and their was rust around the tired making it that much more difficult to come off, which did delay a large portion of the morning. :( But ultimately, it was a good thing we took off when we did after some more yummy Breakfast food this time truly at Breakfast time :), because it was actually more cold than the day before! So, we all dragged our sunburned bodies due to not having seen the sun in ages, right back into the truck for our long 41/2 hour drive back, filled with all of the fun and entertaining things just as before. We then arrived back in Huntington Beach and hopped in our car for another 2 hour long drive back to Bakersfield! :) Needless to say, we completely hit the hay upon returning back home to our kitties whom missed us terribly! All in all, it was quite a fun and adventurous road trip which a lot of great memories were made as well! We love you guys, and thanks for inviting us on this exciting venture, see you at Six Flags in two weeks!

This is kind of a delayed blog, but last weekend...we met up with some friends of ours at this fun Bakersfield hang out night spot, and it just so happened to be 80's night! What a blast that was...the band was dressed up with silly tight leggings on/and crazy wigs to top it off! What was sad, is that each and every one of us knew the songs word for word, and sang them all at the top of our lungs in joyous harmony! :) So much fun!

This past weekend we had the pleasure of being able to attend our friend's wedding held in Fullerton, California: the new Mr. and Mrs. Josh and Angelica Johnson...it was one of those weddings that was literally like a big,fun, and joyous celebration, which made it so much fun for all of the guests to have experienced with the beautiful new Mr. and Mrs. Johnson! Very romantic,with so much laughter!

Also, many thanks to the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Willet for letting us stay in their beautiful home over this past weekend! We had such a blast with you Mike and Jen! You both have such open and warm hearts, and we love that we're getting to become so much closer now as couples...so much fun! You guys are awesome...and our jacuzzi, pizza and wine night rocked!!! hehe Thank you for opening up your beautiful home, and sharing your baby boys corgies with us too! ;) We must never forget the boys...God forbid! :)See you soon guys!

Our Romantic Valentine's Weekend

It's tradition to start off any trip with our pre driving pictures... and so our Valentine's venture to California's Central Coast begins...

We decided to take a trip and drive down the Central Coast. Very Romantic! Everything looks like a painting...perfect and outstandlingly beautiful just as God intended! We ended up going to Morro Bay, and staying in a really cute little Inn there, walked down the main street while listening to the waves crashing next to the rocks. We had a killer seafood dinner at The Great American Fish Company. Colby got snow crab, 2lbs worth and of course downed the whole thing...and Kelsey got the filet mignon with lobster tail! Everything was so delicous, perfect Valentine's dinner! The next morning... we woke up and had breakfast at a great little cafe called the Shantey Cafe in the town of Cayucos, then we headed towards San Simeon to go to Hearst Castle, and for those of you who have never been there... it is one of the most beautfiul places to go, like an Enchanted Castle with these views that you would never believe existed! You have the painting like mountains to one side of the castle, and to the other...you overlook the ocean! What a dream place to visit! We keep telling one another that we're going to get a retirement home on the central coast somewhere! Cambria would be a lovely place to do just that in fact... ;)

So our first Valentine's Day as husband and wife couldn't have been more perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed being bundled up in the cold weather, listening and watching the ocean and elephant seals barking all over the place, eating some great food and exploring a historic site! Absolutely Perfect!

The hills and mountains to one side, and the ocean to the other, what could be more beautiful!, the answer to that would be: nothing...

Hearst Castle is one of the most romantic spots to go visit as a couple/newlyweds etc., we would definitely recommend going to explore this beautifully sculptered and engineered historic castle to go see for anyone really though! The views at the top of the castle are to die for, not to mention the architecture of this mansion is absolutely stunning in every way, crafted down to the finest detail, Mr. Hearst and architect Julia Morgan were way ahead of their time when they designed this insainly vintage and gothic estate...

Date Night for Four please

We had a wonderful pre Valentine's Date Night for four on Friday evening! We shared it with our dear friends Randy and Kandace Poteete. The boys were quite spoiled, as the girls went straight to cookin a special and VERY yummy meal for all of us; consisting of rosemary and olive oil bread for the appetizer which the lovely Kandace made, chicken picata, shrimp linguini and a yummy tossed salad w/ Kelsey's favorite... feta cheese= mmm!!! We played a fun game called Partini and drank chocolate martinis to go right along with it.

Job Stats

JUST KIDDING ABOUT THE DIRTY JOBS!!!

In fact, it's quite the opposite and we both couldn't be happier!
Thank you to those who have been sending so many prayers our way for Kels and the job situation, as it only took her less than one week to find truly what is a great position! She went on her 3rd and final interview last Thursday/this past week, and was offered a position as an Executive Administrative Assistant position with a commercial and residential Property Management company whom has been in business in the Bakersfield area for over 30 years, a mere 2 hours after the interview itself. What a blessing that was! We are both so thrilled, as we feel that this was really a godsend job in just the nick of time. THANK YOU JESUS!

Things are falling into place, and we couldn't be more excited about what all our future holds in store for us. :)

We moved to Bakersfield!

We moved over this past weekend, and with BIG thanks to our dear friends from Bakersfield, Randy and Kandace Poteete! We could not have done it without you two; Randy for all your heavy lifting, and Kandace for your moral support. ;) We love you guys! What a crazy weekend this was, eh?! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We are also happy to say that we are all moved in and settled at this time. Thank you to everyone down south in OC for all of your constant love, support and encouragement throughout this whole moving process...it means the world to us to have such amazing friends and family who are constantly praying for us as we venture to begin our new lives together as husband and wife!

Colby has officially been with his job now for about a week and a half, and is absolutely loving every aspect about it! Kelsey is in the midst of searching for an administrative position as of this week, and going on interviews left and right. Please do keep her in your prayers, as this economy is just so rough right now to even find anything. We do know that our Lord will provide, and completely have faith in Him...as He has taken care of us all our lives. But it does help to keep friends and family updated for prayers sake. ;)

This is most definitely one big adventure for us, as we are both 24 and ready to start settling down/buying our first home/children etc.! So much to look forward to!

We are going to miss each and every one of you SO MUCH, although... we will definitely keep in touch, and will also plan on making the drive as much as possible to visit all of you, and the beautiful O.C.!

We're Moving!!!

Yes, that's right... we're moving to Bakersfield!

This all just happenened so quickly, and we're both still trying to catch our breaths really.

Colby was recently offered a position as project manager with a large commercial company which specializes in low voltage, A.V., security systems etc. They do quite a lot of work for the government (White House in DC- Security Systems!!!) and also educational type businesses, as their headquarters are based out of Bakersfield. This was such a surprise and wonderful opportunity that couldn't be passed. Kelsey has planned on finally working towards her costmotoligy license in the coming months as well as holding down a full time administrative assistant position! So we will be moving out that way the weekend of January 23rd, 24th and 25th!

This will be a huge transition for the both of us coming from Orange County's beautiful Huntington Beach and living oh so close to the ocean, where we have called it home for so long now. We're not going to lie, it will most definitely be difficult on so many different levels...but the long term benefits of owning our first home, schooling, children are so much closer to happening there at this point in our lives, than what they would be here in O.C. We are looking forward to this excellant career opportunity, and not to mention... plain out more affordable living. :) We will miss all of our dear friends here in O.C., but will be making the drive quite frequently for business related deals, and visiting purposes...so, really you won't be loosing us completely peeps. And just when you thought... ;) JK! We'll make sure to plan plenty of get togethers in the near future!

We do apoligize to all of our Orange County friends for having this be such a brief announcement, as we do love you all very much...we just were unsure of things until recently. And like with anything, we wanted to be certain of the details before making such a huge announcement. We realize that we only have about two weeks left really to pack, and have our last hang out sessions with our good friends for a bit, so we are also going to try and organize somewhat of a "Goodbye Orange County, Hello Bakersfield" type get together, :) so make sure to be on the lookout for the evite, and also keep checking back on our blog for more updates. We will keep you all updated from this point on, we promise!

It's really not Good Bye, it's just so long for now.

With a New Year comes New Beginnings...

Two Thousand and Nine has officially arrived, and we are very excited to see what all the future has in store for us in this coming year. Christmas 2008 was wonderful, as we drove to Bakersfield from Huntington Beach, and got to spend a lot of time with the Rozell family over the holiday thanks to our work places. New Years Eve we chose to stay in Huntington Beach, and went to a really good restaurant with six of our closest friends on PCH overlooking the Newport Harbor called Rusty Pelican. The food was a bit pricey, but well worth the amounts! We had yummy lobster and filet mignon... then we all drove back to our apartment in HB, and played some Cranium and Guitar Hero for the rest of the evening! FUN TIMES FOR SURE!

Two Thousand and Eight was full of many amazing memories, some challenging, some bittersweet, and some thrilling... but all in all, it was truly a wonderful year that will forever hold our most cherished date 10/17/08, our wedding day. Also, we both turned 24 years old somewhat recently. Colby over the month of December, and Kelsey over October. Guess we gained one more year full of wisdom each. ;)

Now it's time to start yet another brand new year, and we are both very ready for a fresh start! Keep checkin back to see what all unfolds for us in 2009!

Kelby... The Beginning

We've never done this blogging thing before, but here it goes... we're going to give it a whirl. :) Let see, we recently got married, after having been together for about 3 1/2 years now...YIPPEE!!! The wedding was held October 17th of this past year in Bakersfield, California (Where Colby grew up) at the Riverlakes Golfcourse there... Kelsey's dad Steven Zarit performed the ceremony, and not to come off corny or anything, but it truly was the best day of both of our lives, as we were blessed to have a beautiful day with amazing weather, and all of dear friends and family were there in the midst of everything! It couldn't have been more perfect, we feel so blessed. After having returned home to Huntington Beach from an awesome, and also much needed Mexican Riviera honeymoon with Carnival Cruiselines, we recently just passed our two month anniversary, and what a surreal moment that was too! It's also quite exciting to think that this will be our very first Christmas together as newlyweds! Time is flying by so quickly nowadays, before you know it the babies will start to arrive.... JK!, not at least for 3-4 more years. Had you going though, eh?

We also just got back from visiting Kelsey's sister Brittany, and her husband Serban Maracine out in Thorton, Colorado over the past 08 Thanksgiving holiday; where they purchased their very first home a mere 6 months ago! A beautiful, two story one at that... and to top things off, for a price you wouldn't believe! It was truly a winter wonderland and really made the holidays that much more special. We arrived at the very first snow fall of the year which turned out to be perfect timing and very magical! We both forgot how much we missed the snow, and having seasons in general. It was so neat, as Kelsey's dad and mom Steven and Romy Zarit came out from Montana for the holiday as well. The 6 of us were quite a handful/and housefull...literally speaking, filled with lots of laughter and fun! Serbs and Britt decided to add on an addition to the family right before Thanksgiving...no, not a baby (hehe), but a baby boxer by the name of Jack Bauer Maracine. For those of you who watch 24, it's only the coolest name ever, and we all happened to be quite addicted to that show. Kelsey's dad and mom had also taken their little shi tzu Nala with them for the Colorado family reunion, and watching the two dogs play and romp around (mainly little Jack, because Nala is a bit to old) was way to cute for words!

So, all in all...it was such a GREAT trip filled with lots of new and wonderful memories...alongside becoming an Uncle and Auntie for the very first time...well, kind of that is. Hey, one step at a time.

We are now really looking forward to this Christmas 08, and being able to spend it with the entire Rozell family out in Bakersfield. Should be fun!
